About The Camberley Society

The Camberley Society is a civic society dedicated to improving Camberley. We have been active in the community for 32 years. We have 200 members and are the only group representing Camberley residents.

Our vision is that Camberley achieves its full potential and becomes a destination of choice for residents and non-residents

We want Camberley to be a town to be proud of and a place people want to be.

We want to construct a better town centre,

Create more public open space (did you know that part of the RMA used to be Camberley’s Park?),

Involve more residents in local decision making,

AND improve the Rail Service

We need more people to join us. It costs £10.00 a year.

Members receive our Newsletter; get discounts on our events and get their voices heard where it counts, at our regular meetings with the local council, South West Trains and others.

Posted on behalf of The Camberley Society and the Blackwater Valley Countryside Trust
Calling all those interested in green space and wildlife! The Camberley Society is working with the Blackwater Valley Countryside Trustto develop a local initiative along the same lines as the London National ParkCity on a smaller scale. To kick off this local initiative we are holding aninaugural meeting in Camberley at 10.00am on Friday 27th October. Ifyou are interested do take a look at the link above and let me know at and Iwill send you details.

The London National Park City is being supported by theLondon Mayor and other cities are now following London’s lead. More locally itappears that Woking is also interested and we will be talking to them. Possiblenames for our initiative include Surrey Heath Nature Park and Wild SurreyHeath! The name we go ahead with will be decided at our inaugural meeting. Please support this!
